A mission is a series of tasks that must be completed in a given amount of time. Completing it will give users rewards in a form of EXPs and/or Points. Continue reading this article or watch the video below to create a mission.
1. Open the Mission Management page
To open the Mission Management page, select Content Management ->
Missions on the left side of the window. Click the
button to continue.
2. Fill out the mission's General Information
Add a name and description of the mission to inform users about its aim and what users need to accomplish. You can also add a link to the mission if you want. Don't forget to add an icon to make the mission more appealing. The maximum image file size for mission icons is 1 MB and the recommended resolution is 512x512.
Note: If you want to create a Quiz mission, you need to create a question bank first.
3. Choose a mission type
There are three mission types that you can choose: Quiz, Assignment, To Do List). Select one of the available options and then add a question and description for the mission. Click here to learn more about the mission types.
4. Select an approval type
There are two approval types that you can choose: Manual Approval and Auto Approval.
If you use Manual Approval, you can review users' mission and give the response and score accordingly. This option is really helpful if you want to give personalized feedback on their work, which is important in accelerating their growth and skill development.
Auto Approval helps automate the scoring and approval process. If you select this option, users' mission will be approved automatically and they'll receive the rewards and score immediately. The rewards and score they receive are calculated based on the number of objectives they complete. For example, let's say you create a mission that contains 10 objectives and gives 100 Points as a reward. If users only finish 5 objectives, they'd only get a score of 50 and receive 50 Points.
Important: While Auto Approval can help streamline the scoring and approval process, you won't be able to check their work. It's recommended that you choose this option for trivial tasks and use Manual Approval instead to review and score their work thoroughly.
5. Choose rewards
After completing a mission, users will receive EXPs and/or Points if you approve their mission. EXPs are set automatically based on the number of objectives you add, while Points can be set manually. Click here to learn more about rewards.
Note: Set Points sensibly according to the mission's difficulty and the value of the prizes. Remember that users can use it to redeem prizes offered by your organization.
6. Create additional missions (optional)
You can create additional missions to complement the main mission. This is especially useful if you want to create a set of missions that has the same objective or learning goal. Users will receive the missions when they complete the main mission or an additional mission you set as a prerequisite.
To start creating additional missions, click the Yes option and then click the button. A new section will appear below the button. Select the mission that users need to finish before they can receive the additional mission. If you haven't created any additional missions, you can only select the main mission as a prerequisite.
You have an option to import existing missions from the Mission Management or create a new one. If you decide to import a mission, select the mission and then click the button. You'll be able to edit all information in the mission as needed.
If you choose to create a new mission, you have to fill in all information as explained in the previous steps. When you finish creating an additional mission, you can add more missions or continue to the next step.
Note: If you create additional missions, you can only send all missions once (Recurrence Time).
